PD-old is not an appropriate license for a recently made photograph. AFBorchert (talk) 06:13, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment I've asked the uploader (who states he is the photographer) at his talk page to change the license if he owns the copyright to the photo. Anonymous101 talk 06:59, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • I took the photo, and a number of others recently deleted. It was uploaded as PDOld because, although I am the author of the photo, I am not the author of the work of Art. I did not realise that this applied to 2D images, but not to Sculpture. It seems rather odd to me! Mandy (talk) 09:13, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
      • The point is that the taking of pictures of sculptures is considered to be an art in itself. In case of 2D reproductions, you just need a scanner or some special apparatus to take high quality images. This is no longer a matter of art but just of applied techniques. --AFBorchert (talk) 10:34, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Mandy, for fixing this. This case can be closed now. --AFBorchert (talk) 10:34, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
